The St. Olaf College Theater Department will present George Bernard Shaw’s play “You Never Can Tell” at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 9, 10, 15 and 16, and 2 p.m. Feb. 10 and 1, in the Kelsey Theater on the St. Olaf campus.

Set in England 1950, the story follows the Clandon children who, having recently arrived in England from an 18-year stay in America, are on a quest to find their father. One problem: they have no idea who he is or what he looks like. Meanwhile, Valentine, a local dentist, falls madly in love with Gloria, the eldest Clandon daughter. However, Gloria, who considers herself to be an unwavering feminist, claims to have no interest in love or marriage. Through a comedy of errors and confused identities, this vacillating rom-com is Shaw’s response to the farcical comedy genre.
